XBox 360 wireless

hey sorry for being stupid but is the xbox wireless like the wii?

Or do you have to buy something to make it wireless.
Ive had a 360 for half a year and not even thought of it.

You need an adapter - there's an official one, but you can use other makes of bridge too.

Just in case you misunderstood - the official wireless adapter is the only USB wireless adapter that works because it's the only one with drivers onboard the 360.

You can, however, use a wireless ethernet adapter, like the Asus WL330g - a device that communicates with the router itself, with the Xbox essentially thinking of it as a normal wired connection. This one is powered through USB, so it's about as wireless as the official adapter.
