PAL Wii - Will it output S-video?

Hey guys.

I've heard from somewhere that the PAL Wii will not output Svideo, is this correct? I'm going to be using my 20" iMac as a display for the Wii, but with the device I have, I only have the option of an Svideo input, or composite and of course, i'd much rather use Svideo.

So, my dilemna is that i'm receiving a Wii for xmas (yay!) But it'll be a percy pal one, when i get it, am I going to have to sell it and import a US one?

If it's the case that the PAL will output RGB and the US won't, and viceversa with regards to Svideo. Isn't that a little bit stupid of nintendo?

Have you tried this already with another console? I gathered that grabbing video input to a computer caused too much latency for gaming.
