New router and now internet is slow (mac mini)

I bought a netgear DG834gt yesterday to replace a Draytek router that wouldn't work with my Wii, and now everything is set up and works; 2 wireless PC's and my Wii, but my mac is taking ages "looking up" addresses(you know the words at the bottom of the browser) I use firefox and safari. Is there anything I can do, cos it takes forever now.
    Any help would be appreciated.

yeah, it all works but it takes ages "looking up" pages, on my old draytek the text at the bottom of the browser went by too quickly to read but now you can brew up in the time its taking to look up sites.

I've sorted it now, I needed to change the network settings on the Mac, I assumed I didn't need to because it was working but evidently I did.
          thanks anyway

If it happens again it's almost certainly your DNS settings. Either change them in the router or set them on your PC/Mac to something different.

            158.43.192.1
            158.43.128.1
            158.32.128.72

Open DNS servers from Verizon (One of the worlds largest ISPs) that should be reliable and fast.
