Final Fantasy 9 worth experiencing?

I've played all Final Fantasys except this. I have it, but I never got around to playing it. Been listening to Final Fantasy VII soundtrack on my ipod all day whilst doing some painting arouns the house and it's really got me in the mood for playing some classic FF. Was gonna go throw VII on, but then I thought what about 9? I heard it to be a bit on the poo side tho.

i enjoyed ffix, i think its well worth experiencing at least once.

I thought FFIX was excellent. Prefered it to VIII, X and X-2.

The characters are excellent - Vivi is to me the most lovable in any game - the story is well done, it still looks very pretty, but the equipment/battle system is not as good as VII and it's a bit too easy. All in all you should play it.

It's my favourite in the series by a huge margin. It's very traditional. Great characters. Engaging storyline. Fanatstic stuff.

I loved it. Second only to FFVII as the best of the PlayStation era Final Fantasies IMO.

FFIX also has my favourite soundtrack of the series. Personal preference maybe, but I really liked it... that tune in the petrified forest springs to mind.

I also really enjoyed it, i found it easier to get into than VII or VIII.
