Can anyone send me an auto-installing dashboard disc for the Xbox?

My soft-modded Xbox1 has got a error code 16 (no dashboard) and I think the only way to save it is to use an auto-installing disc like slayers to load up a dashboard? Iv'e tried to make one myself but can't get it to download onto my computer.

If anyone has one of these discs or can make one for me I would really appreciate it and will of course pay postage and a little extra on top.

I have asked a moderator (DavidHolliss) to make sure it's ok to post this.

Sorry, can't help with the disc, but do games work if they are already in the drive? If so, can you just redo the mod? I guess you would have already tried this if poss though.

I did try some games but they don't load.

hey man, if games don't load from off (ie. put game in, turn off and turn on with disc in drive) then the installer disc won't load either. The softmod relies on files on your hdd to execute, unlike modchips/tsop flashes which actually change where the xbox bios loads to.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I hope you backed up your eeprom!

If you backed up your eeprom, then you can build an xbox hdd (image) using yor pc and a few software tools.

If not, modchip and new hdd mate, though any cheap IDE drive will do pretty much.
