How did you guys register your PS3 network account?

Hi chaps, such an obvious question - I searched and read the FAQ's but couldn't see it anywhere, did you just select USA and fake a US address or is their a clever work-around I'm not aware of

Damn, no work around then. I hear it ties it to your account (and savegames) so I wanted to be as honest as possible.
