DS Lite adaptor recall

"In a separate announcement, [Nintendo] said it was also recalling 200,000 AC adapters for the Japanese versions of the DS and DS Lite handhelds."

Anyone know anything about this? What's the problem with the adaptors? Do they *really* need to go back or is it nowt? How will I know if mine's messed up?

As I read that, it's the adapters, not the batteries, that have a problem?

um... i got my DS lite from Japan back in May...
I use the power supply that came with it as its the same as US plugs and thats what I got

Maybe I shoudl enquire?

I think 80,000 are DS adapters, and the rest are for DS Lites. I think if you got a January - March DS model then you need to exchange. I can't remember the DS lite, but I know it ended around October
