    Wii S-video Lead

Should a Japanese S-video lead work with a PAL Wii or is it entirely incompatible. I just get the dreaded rolling black and white screen.

    Any help appreciated.

The PAL Wii does not do S-video.

Conversely, the NTSC Wii does not do RGB Scart.

That's because we don't have RGB Scart sockets on out TVs We do have a D-Sub though which is basically the same thing as component.

Will a Japanese S-video cable deliver a good picture on a PAL CRT from an US NTSC Wii?

As long as the TV supports NTSC, I don't see why not.

Should do, I got a JAP machine hooked up to an s-video cable, was quite suprised at how good the picture quality was, I think it looks almost as good as RGB

Well, I guess the issue isn't about my television. It accepts NTSC from S-Video input as a matter of fact. The real question would be if the official Nintendo S-Video cable for Japanese Wiis would work on an American Wii. I think I'll take the plunge as we're talking about not too much money. I'll let you know if it works. Thanks for the head up.
