    Stepdown rating in watts?

I have a stepdown that came with a USA SNES I bought about 3 years ago, just I'm unsure as to what wattage rating it has (basically I'm unsure how to do a conversion into watts, feel a bit dumb). It says it has a max load of 100 VA, with an output fuse rated at 1 amp. Anyone with some knowledge on this have any ideas? Just want to know if it'd be enough to power an import PS2 (original model) without the risk of frying something due to inadvertently overloading it. Thanks

I'm not an expert but from looking at the Import Hardware FAQ (about 1/2 way down) it looks like your step-down is about the minimum required for a PS2:

100VA is just another way of writing 100 Watts.

So your stepdown is 100 Watts.

The PS2 I think needs about 50 Watts, so your stepdown should work just fine..

I dont know about 100 Watts according to the FAQ Tom Nook posted.. but if you want to work out the actual Watts yourself its easy, use ohms law.

The info you need will be printed on the sticker on the PS2 at the back.

That's just on the limit for a PS2. Probably better to get something with a higher output.

Hehe, maybe it'd be a better idea just to buy a slimline model then Multi voltage PSU for the win. Thanks though guys.
