Xbox 360 on the fritz?!

In the past day, I've had to update GOW 3 times in order to play online. It keeps telling me there's an update for it. I had it twice on Texas Hold 'Em too.
I might get it on other games, but haven't tried. It all seems to have started the other day, I put in the original Xbox Moto GP (live disc) to see if it would work with the new BC list, live updated, but it wouldn't run. Since then the above **** has been going down! Any ideas / solutions?

Have you been playing any other game since then? Maybe the game's cache file is getting wiped by something? I used to get a similar problem on my original Xbox with games like Chaos Theory and Half Life 2 installing themselves on the hard disc, getting wiped over and having to reload themselves (nine minute loading times ahoy ).

Also how much spare room is there on your HDD?
