Blue LCD slot

When does the blue LCD come on? and how long does it stay on for?

My blue LCD only comes on when the Wii powers up and that only for a split second.

it only goes on when you turn the console on for like a second and it Stays on (kinda pulsing) when the console is off and you get a message via wiiconnect 24

Yep, the light will only shine if you get a message via the Wii mail service.

Talking about connect 24. Sometimes when sending mail to my Wii from my PC or phone it takes a good few minutes and sometimes it doesn't reach at all. I sent a few messages a few hours ago and I'm still waiting to recieve them!

I think once you send stuff to the Nintendo servers it must hold it for a while before actually sending it out. I've noticed the delay in emails and also sending Miis and Wii messages. The machine itself also connects to the internet in short bursts every ten minutes or so.
