    Guncon 1 vs Guncon 2

I've already got 2xGuncon 1's for my PSOne.

Do I need to bother with Guncon 2's for my PS2?

What's the difference? Are the GC1's compatible with PS2?

    Thanks.

The only gun game I have is Time Crisis 2 and the G-con 1 works fine with that as well as (I'm pretty sure) any other gun games especially the namco ones.

The G-con 2 plugs into the USB port of the console. It's got a d-pad and buttons on the rear of the gun so that you can play with one hand with games like Time Crisis 2.

I wouldn't bother getting a g-con 2 if you've got the first. They have benefitted from a redesign but play in pretty much the same way.

Vampire Night supports Gungon and Guncon 2, but Ninja Assault only supports Guncon 2.

Hmmm, I may just get a couple just for completeness then.

I'm after them to play that Time Crisis/Point Blank compilation from Japan.

Be warned, although the compilation supports the Guncon 2, Time Crisis doesn't support the d-pad and bullet on the gun handle like TC2 does. Annoying as I bought the collection so I could play TC without having to use a second hand on the barrel of the gun, but you still have to.

what you can do, however, is plug a pad into port two and put it on the floor. Pressing any button on pad 2 makes you duck. Yous an old pad or a dance mat.

Are you sure, I seem to remember that G-con 1 wasn't but G-con 2 is?

EDIT: Apologies it doesn't look like it does although some third party guns now do.
