Amazingly Amazon still haven't honoured my pre-order. They claim they've been let down by their supplier and I'm a 'priority' case for when copies reach their, quote: "Fulfilment Centre". They appear to be saying they're going to be able to get it but they won't give me a dispatch date.

Worse thing is that all alternative reasonably priced sources are now sold out. Even my local GAME which was awash with copies before Xmas and charging ?35+ is sans Z:TW.
So, unless I shell out at least ?10+ more than I budgeted to pay I've got to stick with it and hope Amazon eventually deliver.

    I'm pissed off and angry.

Not muc help, but I've had the same shoddy experience. I pre-ordered Z:TP on the 12th of December for an estimated delivery of 20th-22nd December. Then that was bumped up to 27th-29th. No-one told me; I just randomly checked the order and it had been adjusted. Came back from my mum's on the 29th hoping to find a copy in the letterbox, but not really expecting to. Checked the order and it was still saying 27th-29th; ended up cancelling it on the 2nd. Very shoddy. Not sure if I'll be using Amazon again - got lots of peoples' Christmas presents with them and they all arrived very quickly. I want to play Zelda!

Bloody amazing - this week I decided I was so sick of waiting so, sod it, I'll import US GC LoZ: TP from play-asia. Hang the possible C&E charges it'll will still work out cheaper than paying ?40 in the UK even if you can find it. It was late so I decided to wait until the next day to cancel the Amazon pre-order. After all what was the hurry?

Blow me down, I go online 24hrs later to do just that and I find Amazon have e-mail me out of the blue saying by my 3 month old pre-order has just been dispatched (sinced arrived - hooray). Spooky and could have been very annoying if I hadn't been a been to cancel the play-asia order.

So Amazon have come good, eventually. To give them credit, which is an appropriate choice of words, their customer relations dept. seems to be on the ball. Presumably by way of compensation for the delay when I recently pre-ordered Okami I was given a mysterious ?3 deduction (from ?24.99 to ?20.99) plus free delivery but still arriving on release day morning. Which was nice.

Not that you need it now but I ordered my US copy from yesasia. It is £27.59 delivered (at current exchange rates).

Yes that's roughly what I'd worked it out to be which is another reason why I'd decided to import. I'd been considering importing for some time but most US places I know were high pricing. Even play-asia, my preferred import site since Lik-Sang sunk, had been out of US copies for at least month so I also wanted to get in whilst it was still available.

A point to make though is that you could be hit with UK C&E charges on top which would raise the cost by ?7+ but that still meant it would be cheaper than UK prices.
