Metroid Prime - Help me !

Still palying through this (The problem with owning too many games.)

I'm at Phazon Mines. Save point A (Central Dynamo). I have 6 life bars. Power Beam/Ice Beam/Wave Beam/Scan/Combat & Thermal Visor upgrades as well as the roll ball and missle extras.

I can reach a point where I enter a closed room with the green puffer things in. These eventually kill me. What I'm wondering is if I need further upgrades such as more life guages etc or if I'm just not thinking logically about the room with the puffing things.

Any advice guys ??

You walk into the half pipe, and the green things emmit the gas! Is this the bit you are refering to?

If that is the room. It is not closed. You have to walk to the end of the half pipe, around the corner, and then through the White door (I think). When you come back you have to use the Boost Ball (Which you don't have on your list of upgrades) to go up the side, and through the door up the top. You have loads of time though!
