$240 to fedex a wii from the us?

despite preordering 3 us wiis back in september, i have been let down by everyone... and have resorted to ebay... paid $420

but now the seller wants $240 to ship it to the uk in 1-3 days, on the fedex site it quoted me $130 but he claims the size of the box means its $240

is he messing me about?

i dont know... i guess i am going to have to pay it as i have already paid for the wii... i can just about afford it... but it would just really piss me off if he is lying, as i cannot imagine it could cost that much...

Thats like £120 which is taking the piss, VG+ added like £30 shipping to my Wii order which arrived in 2 days. Tell the guy to run and jump!

if you've already paid... they can NOT ammend what they have already set.. its part of the ebay contract.

Sounds like he's pulling a fast one. Ask him the guy for the dimensions of the box/ weight of the package and double check it on Fedex's site yourself.

If the info he gives you sounds unrealistic let me know & I'll measure / weigh one of my Wii's boxed up.

I got my wii delivered via FedEx (also bought from eBay).

It cost me $130 and arrived in 2 days.

To be honest it's not worth the $420, let alone the postage on top. I'm not flaming, it's just a lot of money to be splashing out before christmas.

i ended up getting him to send it asap for any price less than $160... hopefully his concience will see him ship it fast... but im not holding out much hope

I bought a wii off ebay and it cost $175 for shipping UPS Expedited 3-5days (due for delivery tomorrow). Wii, 3 games and an extra wii remote.
I imagine it will be a fairly big box.
$240 is way over what it should be. Ask him to send it UPS?

apparently ups is supposedly even more expensive... he claimed to have got a few quotes and that $240 was the cheapest

i am aware that it is highly unlikely that i will get it for christmas... but dealing with this clown, my main concern is that i actually get the thing at all

My Wii package was sent out from the states on a Saturday and arrived in the UK on the Tuesday.

I paid - 3-5 Days US Mail Global Express with insurance and return reciept for $67.55 !!

I also got the seller to mark the item up as a gift so had no import tax either.

Sounds like this guy is trying to make some more $'s...
