    Wii help (please)

Hi all basically, what i wanna do is get online with my Wii for the xmas holidays and join in on what you guys have been going on about for the last month. Im still yet to get online with a console properly. So was wondering what i needed to do?

Now i have tried to detect my wireless connection on my (US) Wii. I currently use a belkin Wireless router to get online with the 3 Pcs in the house.

(i think i have this one - BELKIN Router/Wireless Cable DSL INet Gateway Router Router/Wireless Cable DSL INet Gateway Router/Wireless Cable DSL INet Gateway F5D7231UK4 Router or Bridge BELKIN 947073).

So i try and detect it but i cant seem to find the router. It is the WEP option i should be using right? I have tried with my DS to detect a wirelss connection but to no avail. Is there something i need to do to let the router allow access to my Wii and DS?

    Any help is appreciated.

My mate had hassle with a belkin - possibly the same one. What you need to do is set up your connection manually.

Give yourself an IP on the router's subnet (probably 192.168.1.x), set the default gateway to the router's IP (192.168.0.1 ?) and the DNS servers, try the same IP as the gateway, or you may need to look at the router's status page to get the external DNS server addresses if that doesn't work.

It's pretty pain-free, but post back if you hit snags.
