    Sonic 1 on Sonic Jam - which version?

    I recently read some complaints about the version of Sonic 1 on the UK and US Virtual Console. Apparently these are the original US/UK versions, which is a problem because the Japanese version of Sonic 1 apparently had added effects and scrolling layers.

    Which version is included on Sonic Jam?
