Read the instructions, that'll help, casting near rocks seems to work best, then when it bobs up and down pull back on the remote and if it says you've caught something hold it there 'til you pull it in.

ordon village yup. just sussed it. its all in the wrist action lol. this works prety well.

what i did was throw out the line and made sure the wiimote was horizontal. then the key is to watch the bobber as it decends, once the red part 1st or 2nd is in the water - snap back ur wrist 90 degress upward motion. this hooks the fish bu the mouth and FISH on. then raise ur arm and rotate backwards behind ur head- ouch. tasty fish yum

^^ posted for the benefit of others in case they having trouble. i just caught 6 fish easy doing this with no bait

this was really pissing me off last night doing this.... i just waited for the bober to go down a little bit, then flick up a little bit. then after 3 or 4 times they bite. then swing remote bak and leave it like that for a fwe seconds and the fish will come out!

Fishing in Zelda rocks hard...the only slight downer so far (I am almost done with the game...on the

            city in the sky dungeon

) and having now had the chance to try a spot of fishing in Lake Hylia...it seems that the entire lake is completely devoid of fish!!!

A very strange decision don't you think....of all the places in the game world...I would have thought that Lake Hylia would be the most obvious place to go fish for a few hours....wierd.

i suspect most of the fish would have died when the lake was drained of water and the whole twilight realm cant be good for the enviroment.
