Anyone know any freeware available to play mp4 files on your pc? Cant seem to open it with winamp/WMP etc?

TCPMP should play your mp4 files.used to be called beta player.

VLC Media Player plays .mp4's, in fact it plays most stuff, well worth having.

thanks guys. im actually trying to play the premiership highlights that you can view on the 3 mobile network. however none of those players work? It keeps saying 'unknown file format'? any ideas?

You probably lack a codec. Try downloading the latest version of Quicktime or the CCP or the FFD Show codec pack.
