i recently bought a SFC from the forums and if i plug it all up i get nothing on my television
now its a 3rd party PSU (Not Nintendo) and it has a red indication that power is going to it from the stepdown and when i switch the SFC on i get a red indication LED on the machine itself that power is going to it - but i get nothing on my television, when i flick the on switch on the SFC it does seem as if something happens as the TV screen flickers for a second, but its just a black screen
now if i switch it with an official nintendo PSU from my other machine and plug it directly where the old one was (power outlet - stepdown - machine) it works perfectly - now all i've changed is the PSU nothing else
the machine itself is great as you dont even have to blow on carts - stick them in and they all work first time
the only thing i can think of is either a stepdown problem (no providing enough voltage) or the PSU isnt got enough voltage in it to power the machine properly
i've asked the seller how he powered it up and its the same way i have, via a stepdown and he tested it before it was sent and i have no reason to doubt him as he is as good as gold
the stepdown i'm using is:
Input: AC 220-240V 50HZ
Output: AC 115 - 120v 60w
the power supply i got with the machine is
Input AC 220-240V
Output: dc 10-24V 1200MA
The Official PSU is:
Input: AC 100V 50/60HZ 18VA
Output: DC 10V 850MA
Thanks
