Argh! My PS3 spits out discs.

Looks like I have the dreaded disc loader defect where the PS3 won't accept any discs. It's a 1.00 JPN 60 GB launch model from Play-Asia.

Reckon there's any fix?

Funny, my launch model JAP PS2 doesn't have any problems up until today.

Can you try the system update to 1.30? May fix it.

Just updated the system to JPN 1.30, no luck.

Besides, I've read somewhere that firmware updates don't do much outside the system's BIOS, so it's practically useless.

Ah well, going to wait for a response from Play-Asia...

You needed to fill out a form to say it was back for repair, that way you don't pay customs again.
