Wii Blue idle light?

The blue light around the CD tray lights up and down when in shutdown mode.

I thought the light be on when u got a game disc in or something.

Whats it mean?

It's quite cool, was having a mix earlier on my decks, and noticed the blue light on

I've heard reports on other forums that the light is meant to come on when inserting and ejecting discs. Mine certainly doesn't. Below is a quote i copied from nintendo.com

The Disc slot light illuminates briefly when:

The Wii console is turned on.

WiiConnect 24 is turned on and you are receiving new data, such as messages, and you have selected "Bright" or "Dim" in the "Slot Illumination" settings for WiiConnect24.

The Disc slot light does not stay illuminated during game play or using other features of the Wii console.

The light most certainly does not stay on when a disc is inserted. Only when you get new info or a mail. Basically what Nintendo wrote

This is true. When you turn on the console from standby.... the disc slot flashes for the briefest of split seconds.

At least mind does.
