GC rgb scart problem

i have had to go back to a modded GC today and when i plug my modded rgb scart into it the light goes on then off with no picture - i can hear the fan but get no led at all. if i unplug the d-sub plug the picture appears back

is it due to the rgb scart or the mod job on the gc?

camps - does this happen when in US mode and/or Japanese mode?

I had a similar problem. It did the same as yours when in Japanese mode, worked fine when in US mode. I sent it to Saur and he fixed it asap. I am sure he can give a more technical answer to the problem, in a nutshell i think it was just a case of a little more solder (GC mod.) Of course if your GC isn't working in both US and Jap modes it may be a different problem.

Mine does this and yes its the way its modded im afraid

iirc its because they connected to the wrong earth, in extreme cases using the RGB lead can blow the sound chip

Ive been meaning to get mine fixed for months !!
