Do u need Software 2 download music & films onto a PSP?

My mate just got a PSP & wants to download some music & DVDs from his laptop onto his 2GB Memory Stick, then play them thru his PSP.

Any ideas dudes?

For music, no you dont need anything. As long as the music files are in MP3 format the psp will play them.

For video stuff, you can get a free program called psp video 9 that will convert most files to work on the psp. As for ripping dvd's you will need another program but i havent tried to rip a dvd so i dont know what everyone uses.

Its a program for the pc.

It encodes video files to a format that the psp can use.
