Joining the PS2 Boat at last: Advice please!

So many classic titles it would be impossible to list. I have around 120+ Jap/US/UK titles and probably 50 are ESSENTIAL IMO.

I have a Messiah modded 39003 chunky which I originally bought in 2002 and have not had one problem with it yet. I think the 39003 & 39004 are meant to be the most reliable of all the PS2 systems.

I'll put in a vote for Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King for a fairly standard type of RPG. Put in a large number of hours on it and ought really to take the trouble to finish it (got distracted by my 360).

You can have another vote for Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. I put in over 500 hours on the game (you can restart at the level you completed the game on last).

If you are into racing games then consoder Gran Turismo 4.

I have a flip top modded slimline and Swap Magic which can play single layer imports. Also a flip-top modded chunky (with HD).
