silly question but i still gotta ask!

ok got a US 360 which i got when working over in canada, and been working fine since launch day but last night and today got the 2 red lights which means its overheating, but does not feel hot to the touch, well no warmer than before but just cuts out, 2 red lights come on (this happened with R6V and SC DA, gonna try some other games!) so i was gonna call up UK tech support but i guess they aint gonna touch this, correct?

anyways may still call em for advice, but more than likely will get a UK 360

    any ideas please?

    cheers

Just a word of warning (I may be completely wrong, so just wait for more informed forumers): I believe that some people have sent in foreign consoles and been sent back UK machines, despite being told this would not happen.

I think this was with Asian machines - not US ones, but it's worth waiting to see if we can get a response from someone with this experience. It would probably help if you changed the thread title - try 360 issues in general gaming, too.

yeah sorry about that, it was a quick 'arrrrghhhhh whatta i do' sort of post!
tbh if they sent me back a UK console, i would not mind, i was just gonna go out and get a UK core system anyways and most of my games for 360 are region free as well so if would not matter much!!
oh well, pose i can crack on with zelda on wii now that i am waiting

Another option (if you wanted to ensure you got your US console back) might be to get it fixed independently.

Haven't used them myself but have heard a couple of good reports about these guys:

Prices look comparable to what MS have quoted you.

            cheers Tom!!
i will stick with MS they have just sent me the UPS details but i am unsure whether or not they bring the stuff to pack up my 360 etc as the 'indian' lady i dealt with, although being very nice and polite, sometimes didnt get my entire meaning, maybe its my yorkshire accent

does anyone know please if they pack it up for you when they come to collect?

            thanks!
