Does anyone have Linux installed yet?
As Linux is capable of DVD playback what is to stop you setting the region of your PS3 to the UK? You could then watch US & Japanese Blurays and US DVD's through the PS3 and UK'Japanese DVD's through Linux. I presume a Linux Bluray player will be out soon too if it isn't already.
I was wondering if this was possible as it's physically impossible to get a US PS2 to play PAL DVD's due to hardware issues, even when chipped, so I presume it'll be the same with PS3's DVD playback. If this could be circumnavigated with Linux then great!
