Upgrade advise please

My wife managed to destroy her pc over christmas so I figured Id upgrade mine and she can have my cast off. Im thinking of this package

Anyone think of anything better for similar money?
Alos Im concerned about the lack of ide supporty on the motherboard, does anyone know if I can plug a hard drive into to cd-rom ide port?

You sure can, IDE is IDE.

Everything is going SATA though now.
