    PS3 Screen

So I'll be making the jump to HD shortly and need to buy a small screen.

My PS3 is in the back room next to my PC plugged in to an old CRT (which I'll be keeping for the backwards compatibility). I can't afford too much space so what I'm looking at is a screen that combines PC monitor with HDTV inputs.

I've been looking at the Samsung 940MW as the cheapest option, its a 1400X900 monitor with component and HDCP-DVI inputs and is currently going at ?250.00. Does anyone have experience of this screen with a PS3; or a similar product?

I can possibly spend a bit more but the cheaper the better tbh as I've spent a fortune on the PS3 and Christmas presents recently (who here hasn't ).

I have the 940MW. I use it as a second set in my gaming room. Its a great little screen. I have used it as a PC moniter too and it performed really well at that. It has all of the relevant connections to get any games machine running on it. It hasn't got HDMI so you would need to use component for the PS3 or get a DVI to HDMI converter. The sound quality is the only bad thing about this set. I paid £300 6 months ago and thought it was money well spent. You might want to consider the TV on the following link too: http://www.samsung.com/uk/products/t...26r71bxxeu.asp

I'm sure I've seen this set for around £260 on various websites. Again, it has no HDMI, but it looks so much more stylish than the 940MW. I hope this info helps you

Seems there are £300 26" HDTVs floating around too, not bad at all, especially when they'll come with HDMI.

Thanks phorenzik, i might go with the 940mw as its available locally and I can return if need be.

I like the samsung you linked but its a little big and sitting close as I do I think I need the extra pixels the 940mw has for pc use.

Hopefully will turn out OK, not much in the combination monitor/tv market at this price range. Only other option might be a dell 20" widescreen monitor, but it won't accept a 1080i or 1080p signal for blu ray.
