Pirate 4Gb Mem Stick Pro Duos - do they work?

Have already ordered a Sandisk 4 Gb stick for the PSP (?65 incl) for PSX emu loveliness, but the pirate ones on Fleabay seem much cheaper (?30 inc).

Now, are there actually any issues with these pirate ones or do they work OK? Considering it is just a mass storage device for the PSP, speed doesn't really matter does it as long as it works.

Any isues?

My cousin bought a 4GB Compact Flash card from eBay and when it arrived it was a fake and only had 1GB of space, as well as the speed difference which was really noticeable in his camera. I'd just buy a legit one and not risk it.

I bought a 2gb SD card from ebay/hong kong. It came in a 1gb box, but it was actually 2gb and I've not had any issues with it whatsoever. Like everything on ebay, it's mostly a gamble these days.

It is a gamble, transfer speeds tend to be a bit slower, but the cards do have a bit more space on (1gb for example has 983mb instead of 949mb iirc).

Would never store anything valuable on one tbh, but for PSP use etc it's pot luck.

Hmmm, may stick with the Sandisk then (from YesAsia). Likely to have a decent resaile value as well if I ever upgrade to an 8Gb stick

I've had two fake ones already. Really crap transfer rates and isos bigger than a 1gb using refuse to run...
