    ok, so i put in the new psu last night. Turned it on and it fired up, the mother board had a green light but then...nothing. The monitors didnt come out of standby and there was no HD activity. Any ideas anyone. I have an asus p4p800 ver2 which I plugged in 2 leads from the psu...

      Can you access the BIOS screen when it's booting (press delete when the Asus splash screen shows)

        I'll try that later. It feels like ive just not plugged somethign in on the main board...im sure I pulled out more than I put in...Still, actually turning on is a step forward than where it was a few days ago. I'll let you know how i get on wth the bios

          not sure if you care but some closure if you do

          Its fixed!

          I just had a poke around ad re seated cards and such and the old girl is back in action
