Is it worth collecting NGPC?

Hi,

Is it worth collecting Neo Geo Pocket Colour games? I've been told there's 39 but is it realistically possible to collect them all?

The first question is, do you like NGPC games?

If you arent too keen on the games then what is the point. The games are harder to find. Pocket Reversi will be very tricky to obtain at a reasonable price and games like Gal Fighters and Faselei seem to contintually rise.

One problem at the moment is that prices are fluctuating so you have to buy at the right price.

Thanks for the reply, i only just got an NGPC so i haven't tried any games yet but assuming i like them, my original questions apply.

The last one on ebay went for ?50 but that is on the cheap side. Several months ago you would have been looking at paying close to ?90 for it. The prices are fluctuating greatly at the moment.

What's this thing about collecting UK titles anyway? For importers collecting UK titles is like shooting yourself in the foot several times. It's not really about the games as Pocket Reversi if it was released normally would be worth about ?10 and it is a fairly poor game (unless you like Reversi...). Also there are far more Japanese titles out there anyway.... English carts indeed...

Mainly because the UK version is the only way to get English language version of a number of games (such as Faselei, Evolution etc) because they never made it to the US. Plus the clam shells are cool and far better than the crummy cardboard boxes of the US releases.

For the most part, I didn't have a problem tracking down most titles, but that's because I started collecting way back in 2000, a few weeks before SNK pulled out...
