JPN blu-ray ps3 region?

are the region numbers the same as they were on dvd. the japanese have region 2 aswell as us on dvd. just want to order a blue-ray film, just making sure i get the right region.

anyone got any recommendations on any blue-ray films aswell.

They've helpfully made the regions different to DVD! Go for HD DVD instead, no regions to worry about

Region A for BR, same as the US. Mission Impossible 3 and Superman Returns have extremely good picture quality, that's all I've watched so far. I'd recommend DVD Pacific to get your discs from, order separately and use the option not to combine orders to avoid customs.

Yesasia also have some Korean discs (also region A) for good prices, I had some $5 vouchers from their sale so I picked up a couple for $20.99 shipped each.

There doesn't seem to be any region coding on any BluRay discs released in the UK, they all work fine on my PS3.

I've seen some UK BD in HMV. Some had the region code badge on the back cover and some didn't. So no idea if some work and others don't.

The only BD i have is USA Mission Impossible 3 so far and have a Jap PS3
