    PocketPC Advise

My mate showed me his PocketPC the other day... I was impressed. It was everything I did want a laptop for, but small enough to put in my pocket. Windows-based, audio, video, web browsing, MSN etc.
    Was gonna get one.

    1) Is there any way to access the net from anywhere? Obviously not everywhere is going to have a wireless access point. Seems pointless me getting it otherwise, the point being for me to access the net no matter where I am.

    2) What are these like on battery?

    3) Can you get these with large internal storage?

    1) You can access the net through GPRS which is 144KBPS some newer handsets may support EDGE or 3G which is alot faster. Just make sure you have some kind of unlimited data useage package on your phone contract.

2)Batteries aren't great at all if you are used to normal mobile phones, the handsets can withstand a few hours of "use" but can be left on standby for quite a while. I had to recharge mine religiously every night.

    3) Usually they come with 128/256 of on board memory , which is shared RAM/permanent storage, best bet is just to keep an SD card in it.
