UK HD DVD drive with US 360

    UK HD DVD drive with US 360

    ok guys, i have a US 360 but if i get the HD DVD drive from a UK store will this work please as i read HD DVD's are region free!!
    any one tried this please and any additional things i might need?

    Plenty of us are using US drives on Uk machines, so I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work the other way round.

    The actual drives are identical, everything is controlled by the xbox.

      so it connects via the USB slot right? and then is there external power as well please?
      also is it true that HD DVD's are multiregion please?

        There is no region locking in the HDDVD format yet, So we've got a good few years of region free lovelyness.
