    anybody played wii via component please??

    anybody hooked up their wii to a HDTV yet via component please?
    if so, much better? sharper?
    thinking about it, but be nice to read some feedback

    There's a mountain of stuff in this thread. Early stuff is all about whether it's out and where it can be found, but the later pages cover opinions on the difference in quality (There's some screenies in there too if I remember correctly).

    For my part I can only tell you that Zelda and Wii Sports look suitably lovely, but given that I didn't try the Wii with anything else I can't offer a comparison.

        It was better but not hugely so. i was really pissed off when using it in Composite, but it's without a doubt the best composite output of any device I've ever hooked up to a telly.

        Only the colours really improved. The dot edges are a little smoother, but it's not something to worry about if you have to make do with composite for a while.

          It depends on how well your TV handles Composite video but there's no point in not using Component, so go for it.

            Agreed. If you can do it go for it, but if you can't source a cable or something it's certainly not worth leaving a game on the shelf till you get the cable.

              i am around 30 hours into zelda but thats played on my old sony trinitron but i was thinking of getting the component cable to play it on my panny HDTV
