Movies of skillful players playing Ikaruga....

Can anyone direct me to any movies of people being particularly skillful on Ikaruga??

I have a friend who says the game is poorly designed because it is too hard, so I wanted to show him he is wrong....

I think on the treasure site there is a Ikaruga link with gameplay movies of all levels. Were I not firewalled Id have a look for you. They were posted in this forum at one time also, so try searching for Ikaruga.

      Try these videos:

They are all taken from the insertcredit review of the Appreciate DVD (http://www.insertcredit.com/reviews/...ate/index.html) and are of the best player in the world playing.

They are truly incredible (but beware 56k people).

This web site here have some 2 player videos as well as the single player ones. I haven't had the time to watch them yet.

The ones on Treasure's site are only the first 2 levels sadly.

The ones on the appreciate DVD are incredible, easily the best in terms of skill and the route taken through the game.

The videos from kiken's site are of a moderate skill, and they are good if you are looking to learn some new concepts. They are all rotated 90 degrees thought so you will need to reformat them.

Finally, there is a good avi of someone finishing Ikaruga on one credit that is doing the rounds, with a final score of about 23mil. It's around 150Mb and was available on the p2p networks when I downloaded it.

Vaipon the score was actually 28.9m.

There is another video doing the round of SnapDragon too which is over 30m, but the DVD is the one to watch to see the best and most impressive techniques!

My apologies, been a while since I watched it. Is it your vid btw? Very nice display of skill.

Naa it isnt my video, I am not that good!

My best score is around the 25.5M mark, although I specialise in chapter 1 after the recent NGC Ikaruga competition!

Hehe. 25.5M is not exactly bad either though. Nice one. I'm at the stage where I can get through the first 3 chapters without losing a life and get at least S on them all (S++ on 1 and 2 if I have a good day). Only just started working on chapter 4 though. I'm at the point where there actually seems to be light at the end of the Ikaruga tunnel now. I'll 1 credit this game soon, then it's time to work on the score.

I salute you for sticking at it though. Too many people dismiss Ikaruga without giving it a chance.

Yeah I have put literally over a hundred hours into the game.

However I will have a reward hopefully - I enterered the NGC Ikaruga competition for the best score on chapter 1 and managed a 4.2m score (134chain) so I am keeping my fingers crossed it will win it for me (?2000 worth of TV/audio stuff). I should find out about this over the next couple of days.

Chapter 4 is the point people either give up or shine - it takes a lot of practice and memorisation - but once you have done it it is very consisent and the best point to show off to your friends.

Chapter 3 is where all the real difficulty is at though, I dont think I have even ever got an S++ on that chapter (need over 5.5m) whereas the best players can score 7m on it :/.
