    Problem with Videogameplus.ca, advice needed

    Hello,

Situation is this. I tried buy certain product from Videogameplus.ca. Everything went normally until actual transaction process started. First I inputted my Verified by Visa numbers, and then Netbean, VGP's transaction provider started to transfer money. Oh dear, Netbean crashed. All of my money was reserved, but nothing else happened. There was no database entry of my order on VPG's customer page, as VGP writes order in AFTER Netbean gives signal for that. Signal that never happened as Netbean crashed before that. I asked this from Videogameplus.ca, and they said there was nothing that they could do and I should try again.

Let's fastforward few days. I checked my account, and my reserved money was actually moved to VGP's account. It looks like Netbean's transaction management had only put my transaction on queue, and after Netbean's database recovered, transferred money to VGP's account. I'm pretty sure that this is what happened, because when I asked about this directly from my bank, they were 100 percent sure that money is on the VGP's account. My account's transaction list also supports this claim. When I asked about this about VGP, they denied it and say that there must be error.

Now I have 31 euros worth of money literally lost. How I should continue from here? Go to my bank or complain to Finland's Luottokunta, credit card service company which controls all transactions in Finland?

If your bank have proof that the transfer occurred, I would imagine the first step would be to get hold of a copy of it and provide it to VG+ and see what they say.

Week and half later... VGP isn't even willing to answer my email anymore. It's really shame as everything has went so smoothly in the past.

What next? Legal action would be next logical choice, but for 31 euros it is like shooting fly with cannon.

Doesn't your bank/card company offer protection against non-delivery of goods and the like ?
In the UK if you pay for something by Credit Card and goods don't arrive, the card company reimburse you then claim the money back themselves (well most card companies do)

Here credit company steps in only when it is obviously fraud, and I don't believe this would classify as one.

I think you should talk to your credit card company anyway, I think a call from them to VGP would sort things out.

I'm not sure on which you'll have to phone though.

Those are numbers for their stores but not their online CS. I think I'll try calling one of them tonight to ask for the website CS number, if they have one.
