weird xbox 360 issue

RIght i have had skybb just after xmas, everything is great other than the line dropping, then the line slowing down and crawling along..

But now i have another strange problem,

Wireless netgear router sits downstairs, pc connects wireless to it, then i have my 360 connecting to a small switch (wired) and the switch is connected via the switch (wired) to the pc's internal ethernet adapter... the wireless usb network card is sharing the internet connection so th1 internal adapter can allow the 360 to pick up th1 internet connection

I can browse (PC),download (pc) and play online Both PC and 360, but i can now no longer download any updates or demos via the 360....

Im guessing that with everything else working it is likely to be some firewall or router setting, but i am currently out of ideas..

any help would be great guys..

Make sure all the correct ports are forwarded in you're router.

The following ports must be available for Xbox Live to operate correctly:
•UDP 88
•UDP 3074
•TCP 3074

Try wiring the XB up to the router instead of using wireless. This will give you a shocking example of how crap and twitchy wireless LAN's are.
