DVI-D playstation 3 HDMI question

I have a 19" samsung syncmaster 940MW tv which has a DVI-D socket

Am i correct in thinking i can connect a playstation 3 to it using a HDMI-DVI connector?

i'm pretty sure i can but want to double check before going ahead with ordering a PS3

I did a lot of reading on AV Forums yesterday trying to find some information about HDMI and there's lots of mention on there about this being just fine, so I would say it's all good.

I can confirm that a HDMI-DVI lead works 100% fine with my US PS3 to my HDTV.

As long as your DVI socket supports HDCP you'll be fine.
