    Cheapest way to Zelda...

I picked up a PAL copy of Zelda TP cheap over here off the interweb. (Sealed as new)

I sold my NTSC cube 12 months ago and now need some advice on how to play this game!

How much should I pay for a PAL cube + memory card?

If I buy a wii, I guess I need a cube controller to play the sucker.....

Finally, I had a saurian RGB before, but what do I use on a PAL cube to connect?

    Thanks,.....

I would say don't pay more than ?30-40 for the cube (no idea how much to pay for memory card, I'm sure you could borrow one off someone if desperate). The PAL cube can output RGB much more easily than an ntsc one. You could pick up a third party one for around ?10, although the official ones are supposed to be more reliable.

      !!!!

No way man, that's way too much. You could get a pre-owned cube with four games for that price in GameStation, or it might be worth checking your local indie as two near my house are selling cubes for £20 each.

TBH GameCube controllers have become so expensive since the Wii launch you'd be better off buying a whole GC setup than just the controller. New boxed ones are like hen's teeth now and even second-hand they're fetching ridiculous prices on fleabay.

        Thanks Matty.

I've bought one at what I considered a fair price. Its done, its out of my hands, and its not worth pondering on.

At the end of the day I don't live in the UK and don't have a local indie that will sell me one for 20 notes.

It's all good, I know I bought it from a great dude, and he wouldn't have knowingly ripped me off. We both agreed on a fair price, and if both parties are in agreement, then thats perfect!

(But thanks for the advice! )

Now I can look forward to Zelda, with Cube controls and camera. Bonus!

Crack Convertors used to sell used cubes, boxed for £10.
But there certainly seems to have been a resurgence in the GC department on the release of the WII. I certainly know that in the Blockbuster I work in we have a Gamestation and all the nintendo gear - lites and Cube's have gone up in price. So I think £40-od isn't too out of the question. Leave it a bit and it will settle down again.

Well I'm nearly sorted! Just waiting on the cube, (Bloody post ) But from three different parts of the world, (Norway, Luxemburg & England) I am now the proud owner of TP, the uber Prima guide and an RGB cable.

Man I really want to play now!!!!

I have owned Zelda on the SFC and N64, plus I had windwalker on an NTSC cube the first time around, but I have never managed to get past about 50% of the way through.

I have bought Windwalker (Waiting on the post for that one too...) and Twighlight Princess, and I intend to use a few hours at a time to get these games done!

I have been loving the 360, but it has reminded me that gaming is a lot more than just FPS/Driving, and I need a Zelda fix!

Roll on next week, and posting to the first play thread!

Must admit to missing the lack of camera in the Wii version.

I often think it would have been good if Nintendo had put a tiny analogue stick below the A button on the Wii remote for controlling cameras with. Oh well.
