12v to 240v car transformer - where from?

A mate is after one so his kids can play an Xbox or PSone in his new Zafira.

Any ideas where's the cheapest place to get one and what wattage would be needed?

Halfords or any car shop... Even my tiny little local car spares shop sell them for ?34.99...

maplins sell inverters, though if you use a psone you could just buy a power lead that plugs into the cigerette socket. Also make sure that the inverter you buy is powerfull enough to run an xbox (120 watts min)

XB has internal PSU so you need the 240V but PSone only needs 7.5v and the correct polarity and size plug, so maybe the PSone from 12v down to 7.5v will be easier to source and fit.
