      What's dial-up?

You can also connect your 360 to the Internet through your PC using Internet Connection Sharing. I remember when there was all the early controversy because Xbox Live required broadband (how quaint, etc), dial-up users were using that to get themselves online despite the horrible lag.

I went online with my xbox on dial up once, using ICS as Nekofever said. So you could theoretically do it.

bootmonster is pretty much right for Doom (it's actually 22MB, but I've got a few saves which takes it up to 23), but you shouldn't have too much of a problem with XBLA games. All current ones have had to fit into a 50MB limit which should be too bad to download on 56k. I think...

Of course the limit's been bumped up to 500-odd now which is probably a bit out of the question, but I wouldn't expect too many to push that for a while yet.

did find on the microsoft site

you can download and burn to cd updates like the the backward compatibility software and updates to the x360 OS

seems ridiculous to me does not do that with free updates and patchs for games

well my motherboard has a built in ethernet so got a cable and connected to the x360 and set up internet sharing and bam it works

downloaded doom and updates for oblivion and senko no ronde

also worked with the wii too

of course wont do online gaming but at least its set up for when broadband does come here soon

Judging by your connection sometimes, you're still on it!

BOG OFF! The only way i will get a better connection is to move house, I don't fancy the extra 500 quid a month that would cost
