Wii memory card not working. Please help!!!

I have a 256mb SD card with 80 hours worth of Zelda play on it that my Wii won't recognise. Any ideas?

SD card is for back up only and you need to transfer the file into the Wii's internal memory before accessing it (I think)

Yup, no game actually checks the SD slot to see if there are savegames on it.

I realise that but what I mean is that when I go into data management from the Wii menu, it doesn't even recognise that I have a memory card in the slot.

What about other devices? Does PCs and other card readers detect the card and if there's something on it? (never actually tried to move Wii savegame data on SD cards and see what the PC recognizes)

I've sorted it. You need to do the internet update before it will recognise an SD card. I'm soooooo relieved.

I thought you already did that and the data on the SD card was a backup of a previous save...oh well.

I'm assuming he's using someone elses save file. He never said his 80 hours. Or playing now on a replacement machine perhaps ?

Yeah, it was a different machine. I sold my 1st Wii but then wanted it back to finish Zelda.
