    Ubisoft and VG+ query

A question for anybody who ordered a Ubisoft game from VG+. Did you receive the American version, or the canadian (with french text) version of the game? Just wondering as I'm planning to get GRAW from them, but I don't want to do it if I will get the one with french text on the back. I e-mailed VG+ about this but haven't gotten a reponse, and its been a couple days so I thought I'd try finding out here.

I've never ordered a Ubisoft title from them, but the NTSC Gears of War was the US one.

Strange that they haven't replied yet, I've always had a quick response from them. Hopefully they'll reply soon.

Their site is down at the moment for maintenance which could also be the reason for the delay.

They're based in Canada so it'll be the Canadian version I'm 99% sure. Not sure what the 360 is like for French text on the box/manual, I know I can't stand the Canadian GC stuff though.

How much is it for sale there? Tronix have it in stock for $58 (+ ~$11 shipping if I remember correctly), which is usually competitive with VGP and you're guaranteed the US versions. Use them for all of my US stuff unless I pick it up from eBay.

Ha... I know. I actually ordered it off of Tronix earlier in the week, however they told me they were out of stock and their suppliers wouldn't give them a restock date. So I had to look elsewhere. Decided to change my order with Tronix for Double Agent and bought GRAW off of Ebay.

I agree, Tronix are great and all... I sometimes prefer them to VG+ if I need my games quicker, plus, like you said, you're guaranteed U.S. versions. NCSX are absolutely superb too in my opinion, although they charge $26 shipping for games, which I think is a bit much.

VG+, Rayman Raving Rabbits, in-game text is english only, with only one english manual. Other games come with two manuals or one multi-lingual manual, but the in-game text is always english. I don't think north-american publishers will include French just for the sake of one Canadia province.
