Lol that looks so wrong. What happened to the nice Philips TV?

Keeping it short, I didn't feel the quality of the image lived up to the price tag.

That's a nice mouse for the powerbook. Imagine a silver version without the light. 8)

It's also great to see there's an option to disable the dreaded mouse acceleration! OS X should really have that built in to the default mouse settings pane -- don't know what Apple were playing at by forcing it on all users.

How come wallpaper is low down everyone's list of priorities :d

hehe. I've just moved in. It's a 1930s house and needs completely rewiring. There are few sockets and all in the wrong places. I'm channeling all the speaker and network cable into the walls as well and putting in a whole bunch of new lighting. Aim to add amps and speakers to the dining room and kitchen too. Decorating will have to come after that. The carpet will eventually be replaced too, but it'll be costly, so it'll happen when it's worn out in a few years probably.

Wallpaper is the spawn of satan. In the lounge it's wallpaper on wallpaper. Gits. Not looking forward to stripping that.

Flocked wallpaper is the way of the future, Charles. All the kool kids have it.

It died a horrible death, and after being away for repair for over 4 months, I got a refund. (and I was able to afford the Philips as I was saving money in that time, assuming that was going to happen)

I'm really not sure about LCDs now, after my experience with the Samsung and Philips, but there doesn't seem to be anything else suitable. (I've spent a fair amount on new component cables for everything, bought a new DVD player etc)

I'm thinking I might just buy a "cheap" 26" LCD like the Sharp GA6E and wait to see if anything better comes along in a year or so. (although new models are due out in March in Japan - I don't know when they'll be released here, but they might do the same as the GD7E and remove most of the features for the sake of "simplicity")

Its generally the best of the "cheap" LCDs and I couldnt be happier with mine, my mate with the Samsung is still pissed off that he got that and not the LG!

dlittley: Love the PC setup. The lights look brilliant.

andrewfee: Great looking powerbook setup. Again lovely use of lights. Just out of curiousity, did you try the mouse mat with a mx1000? I've got this mouse, and using this on my wooden desk, it seems to 'jump' sometimes. I wondered if the mouse mat would make much of a difference?

charlesr: Those glass racks look like just the thing I need. Did you buy them instore, as I can't seem to find them on the homebase website?
