Yes. Previously a beautiful brick fireplace with wood burning stove
Speakers are Anthony Gallo Reference AV with A'Diva Ti surrounds (not pictured). I love Gallo stuff. Pricey but they look great and sound every bit as beautiful.
I've had this setup about 18 months now but realised I never posted it here. No intention of changing a thing. 3D can kiss my white ass.

What a rather chic setup. Very nice.

If ever you need to hide from someone the gutted fireplace looks like a strong candidate, haha.

Grabbed myself a Sharp Aquos (LC32AD5EBK) from a store near where I live. Me and girlfriend paid halves as our birthday present to each other - ?100 each.

This is more of a general setup, though.

          That's sweet.

Been a while since I posted my setup and upgraded a few bits so time for an update.

To have all my gear in the lounge (and live a peaceful existence with the poor woman I live with) I had to come up with a way of hiding everything so this is what it loks like normally:

And this is what it looks like with the doors open:

            The kit up close:

Kit list (top to bottom, L to R):
            Samsung LEA40656 40" LCD
            Gale Bookshelf speakers
            Mordaunt Short Centre speaker
            Nintendo Wii (black)
            Toshiba HDEP35 H-DVD Player (multi-region)
            Yamaha DVDS657 DVD/SACD Player (multi-region)
Nintendo GameCube (PAL) + Gameboy Player
            Sega Dreamcast (PAL)
            Akai VSG745 VHS Recorder (PAL)
            Joytech A/V Control Centre
            Sky HD box
            Apple Airport Extreme (3rd gen - B/G/N)
Apple TV 2 (modded with Firecore aTV Flash to play Video_TS files from networked HDs)
            Pioneer VSX1019AHK 7.1 A/V Amplifier
Sony PlayStation ('SCPH1002' - modded for NTSC)
            Microsoft XBox 360 ('Pro' - 250GB HD)
            Sony PS 3 ('CECH03' - 500GB HD)

            (out of shot)
            Eltax Surround Back speakers
            Mordaunt Short L & R Centre speakers
            Gale subwoofer
Sony PSone + Official LCD Screen
            Sony PSP 3000 (black)
            Nintendo DSi (white)
            Nintendo GameBoy Advance SP (silver)
Nintendo GameBoy Micro (Mario 20th Anniversary edition)
            Apple iMac 24" 3.06mhz Core 2 Duo (OSX 10.7 & Windows 7 Ultimate)

The Pioneer amp is used as an A/V switcher with the PS3, Apple TV 2, H-DVD player, and Sky HD box via HDMI. I have the original Pro 360 so that's connected to the TV via VGA. The Wii is via component and the retro stuff is RGB SCART through the Joytech box. All the audio goes through the amp via toslink or stereo jacks for the older gear.

The games are spread across about 6 different cupboards in 2 rooms but this is my complete library (mostly PAL):

            TT.

You could connect the 360 to the receiver with component you know, to alleviate the button pushing.

Great use of space. Very compact yet organized. Do you play with the doors closed? I have about the similar space around my 360 and PS3, and they tend to get mega hot if the doors are closed while playing.

That PS3 would create a lot of heat even when the cupboard is open, surely!

Mine gets steamy unless I give it tons of ventilation.

Only so many component inputs in the receiver so had to go with the VGA option.

The cupboard was built to order so I knew how much space I had to work with but to answer your question, no, the doors need to stay open when it comes to the 360 and PS3. The latter sounds like a jet taking off if its accidentally switched on with the doors closed! Fine with the doors open though.

                  TT.

What's the input lag like? I've heard great things about Japanese Sharps but less complimentary things about the Euro models.

When using the 360 do you take the PS1 off?

Nice set up, Wii bar resting on the centre is very neat, I'm struggling where to put mine at the moment...
Also like the online thing detailing all of your games!

Will put a photo up of my set up in a few days (once I've found room for everything) - never got round to posting my last one but it is completely different now and I'm rather happy with it!

Good, but I use my Asus 24" panel for fighters anyway. Not good enough for a 2 frame red parry in 3s for example.

I tend to leave the PS1 on top. You can't tell from the pic but none of the ventilation holes to the side are covered. Again, as long as the door is open the 360 seems to keep cool. I've never had an overheating problem.

The web pages are automatically generated/published by a Mac app called Delicious Library. Very neat cataloging app. Scan a barcode and it pulls the cover art/metadata from Amazon.

Who ever has this in their setup with a tate mode shooter on it wins!

With that aspect ratio you can play two games at once.
