I'm surprised you've got it so nicely integrated already (gutted is probably the right word, considering how long it took me ) but keep fiddling and tinkering until it sounds perfect. Have you got the speakers set to large/full (ie do the speakers take the full frequency range, or do they cut out at the point where the sub kicks in?)

The thing to look for, IMO, is the point where your speakers start to drop and your sub can take over (usually between 60-90Hz). When it's done properly you won't be able to hear where the sub takes over, but you can always tell when it's not there
Well I'll still have to keep fine-tuning it, but as it is, I virtually can't tell where the sub kicks in now, and while the positioning looks bad, I can't tell where the sub is, and it just sounds like my speakers are going lower - I honestly didn't think my sub was doing anything when I was in my regular listening position until I turned it off and listened to the same track again and noticed what I was missing.

You've got it sorted already then The best bit of advice I've ever been given about subs is that you shouldn't be able to hear when they kick in, you shouldn't be able to pinpoint where the bass is coming from, and you shouldn't be able to hear when you go across the frequency cutoff point

My old pics seem to of disappeared, Ive changed a bit now so heres more recent ones

Mostly playing PC gaming at the moment so most of my consoles are packed away, apart from the Xbox, which is used primarily to play the music videos via the launchbrowser script on XBMC (which is just awesome).

Looks great (very neat and tidy)

            What screen is it?

              Thanks

The screen is a Panasonic 50", its not DVI or HDTV capable as Ive had it over a year after purchasing it from a friend, so I guess its about two years old now. Everything looks great on it though, and Im more than happy with it.

Doh, so it is! For some reason I thought it was a Phillips

Those Panasonic plasmas are great. I've seen a few and they've always looked excellent (they even have them in the show rooms in Ikea )

nice setup marcus, but i'd wall mount the plasma and have the consoles on the glass stand that would look really good

I bought a wall mount stand for my last plasma which was a 42", however it was too heavy to be mounted to the wall unless it was pinned through from the other side. The Panny 50 screen is ridiculously heavy, and is even more unfeasable.

That whole wall is taken up with DVDs now, if you look closely above the plasma you will see mini cases (dawn of the dead, open water, million dollar baby etc) which are made from custom artwork that I compress to fit inside the diddy cases, its going to be a huge space-saver for me. Recently it began to occur to me that DVD cases are needlessly large, so I decided to take matters into my own hands, its quite fun too

I dont have any games on display anymore, theres 4 big crates full of them in my loft at the moment for the forseeable future.

What's the story with wall mounting displays? I'm thinking of mounting a modestly sized 26" LCD on what I assume is a plasterboard wall. Will I run in to problems?

                      Comment

I guess it depends on the weight, I dont imagine an LCD would weigh as much as a plasma but in my case although I have solid brick (afaik) walls we felt that it was simply too heavy to support without pinning it from the other side of the wall for support.

As much as Id love to wall-mount my plasma, its something thats worth thousands of pounds and I decided that its not worth the risk, besides, the Alphason glass stand I bought and Panny standmount look great plus I benefit from the additional storage space for my equipment too.

LCDs, especially a 26" or smaller should be fine. (well, I don't know about plasterboard)

Plasmas weigh far more than LCDs do, partly because of all the glass in them.

While I love my setup, I've had a problem the last few days, and it's just too big to ignore really.

The way my room used to be, I had 8-10ft of viewing distance, because I was sitting in one corner, looking at the television in the opposite one. The way I re-arranged things, I was expecting to get 7-8ft of viewing distance, but I'd be looking straight on rather than diagonally, which is much more comfortable and everything sounds so much better.

However, in reality, after placing everything in, I'm only getting about 5/6 ft viewing distance, which is just simply too small for a 32" LCD. I'd say you need 7ft minimum.

So I think I'm going to have to sell it. It's only about 5 weeks old, and I'm going to loose at least ?100 on it, if not more.

I'm really kicking myself for buying it so quickly. I see it goes for about ?900-1000 delivered most places now (I paid ?870) but most places are out of stock, and have been for at least a month, seems to be in high demand with little stock to go around. So I'm hoping I can get a pretty quick sale.

Is anyone here interested? It's perfect condition, boxed etc and hasn't been registered with Samsung yet.

I've spent 30+ hours using 720p/60Hz content via component and have yet to see any of this "tearing" issue. (although it's more of a "ripple" judging from the video I saw)

I've got an XRGB2+ with a lot of cables etc, which is about ?170's worth of stuff I can sell with it as well, and will get the best out of any older systems. (PS2 or older)

I was thinking around the ?800 mark, plus delivery for the lot.

Is the display a PW7 Marcus and if so is the 50" compatible with the additional HDMI board?.

I've been looking to get the HDMI slot for my display ( 42") but stocks are low at the moment and retailers are making the most of this with their pricing. So i've decided to wait a little.
