Ok, having finally convinced the missus that the Pstwo was on it's last legs and shown her the extortionate price of the Ps3, she agreed and the 360 is nestling next to my entetainment cabinet.
All good so far except for that fact that that i am doing the machine a huge disservice by currently having it hooked up thru the supplied scart adapter using compos(h)ite.
My TV is not a HD set and there is not one on the horizon either, it has RGB Scart, S-video and a PC input, alas, no component
The question is, what lead to go for, the VGA appeals as it's one less Scart socket to have to take up, but I'm not sure how it would fare on my set, both the Wii and the Pstwo are hooked up via RGB scart and I am tempted to stick with "the devil I know"
I don't want to hook the 360 up to a monitor as I'll lose the surround sound option and despite being an SD set, the TV is a 42" Sony KF-42SX300U & I'm not sure I could co back to a 14" screen.
According to the instructions in the TV manual it suports resolutions of 640x480, 800x600 & 1024x768, these kind of specs maen nothing to me so any advice (other than burying the missus under the patio & buying a HD set with the insurance money
) would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
