Sharing files between XP & Vista wirelessly

My old PC is now upstairs, I'd like to access the files on it by ny new Vista machine. They are both connected to my wireless router so I presume there is an easy way for me to set this up..

Been trying all morning and I'm none the wiser

Create a workgroup named the same thing on each machine.Use the wizard. On your old machine right click on any folders you want to share and select "Sharing and security". Choose the option to share folder, and it should show up on the other PC in My Network Places.
